The iDTM™ enables the operation of devices that are only described with a DD/EDD and do not have a DTM (Device Type Manager). Find below information about the technical realization and the customer benefits of this solution.

The iDTM™ interprets HART DDs/EDDs (FOUNDATION Fieldbus and PROFIBUS to follow) and enables the integration of third party HART devices without dedicated device DTM into a FDT frame application, e.g Endress+Hauser FieldCare, using the FDT based nested communication infrastructure.

DTMstudio^® is the software tool CodeWrights also uses internally in order to develop DTMs for customers.

The daily use results in continuous improvement of the tool  - the customers therefore also benefit from these further developments.
Seeing some device manufacturers have the demand to develop a larger number of FDT/DTMs and are therefore interested
in having a tool to develop the DTMs by themselves. Knowing this need CodeWrights offers DTMstudio^® as a development tool on the market.

Integration Products

Customers ask for complete solutions, for complete quotation and not for a partial offer. Therefore vendors of process control systems or plant asset management systems face the situation that they also have to integrate other supplliers' devices into the systems in order to secure the order. But there are not always DTMs available for those devices.
Therefore CodeWrights developed products to enable fast and easy integration of devices that do not have a specific device DTM - these are the so-called Standard Integration Products.

Communication DTM

CodeWrights has developed, tested and released Communication DTMs for HART, PROFIBUS and other protocols. The latest Communication DTM has been developed for Foundation Fieldbus H1.
The majority of the Communication DTMs projects have been accomplished on demand.
