CodeWrights was founded in 2002 as a cooperation of Endress+Hauser and Pepperl+Fuchs – the intention was to build a competence center for device integration in the automation industry with special focus on the - at that time - very young Field Device Tool (FDT) technology.

To be able to fulfill the task of having the knowledge ofthe main technologies, CodeWrights early joined the FDT Group and other associations. Moreover its employees actively work in Working Groups of these associations to build and specify the technology from the beginning on. For example CodeWrights is an active member and driver in the core team for the FDT specification today.

Based on this knowledge of different technologies CodeWrights proved to be a competitive service provider for device integration – with both the EDD and FDT/DTM technology. One of the main parts of the business is the DTM development.

At the same time, the systems working with Electronic Device Descriptions are still very important on the market. As CodeWrights is using EDDs as a basis for DTM development, there is also a deep knowledge of the EDD technology.

Having competence and knowledge in both the FDT and EDD technology enables us to offer our customers a broad range of device integration products and services.

Moreover – with every project we accomplish we learn more about our customers’ needs and possible solution – continuously furthering our knowledge learning everyday more is one of the key aspects of our daily business.
